Welcome to Barford Farmhouse Ice Cream

Chris and Wendy Pope produce quality farmhouse icecream at their farm near Wimborne, Dorset. They are tenants of the National Trust on the Kingston Lacy Estate and Stourhead Estate and decided to make icecream to add value to the milk they produce from their 200 Holstein cows on the 500 acre farm.

They farm with their son William and his wife Joanna and everyone is involved in the hand made production. The icecream is naturally delicious and instantly fresh. It is possible to get the milk from the cow to the cone in under one hour! Wherever possible all the ingredients used are free from artificial additives and preservatives and sourced locally.

Batches can be made to order by contacting Chris and Wendy by phone, email, fax or post and they can supply in large or small amounts to suit requirements to hotels, restaurants, pubs or individuals or simply come along to the farm and enjoy a cone or two whilst sitting in the very pleasant gardens. There are many flavours to choose from and you can also take some home. Cars, walkers, bikers or even horseriders are welcome (hitching rail provided!).
